Trustees and officers

The Gates Cambridge Trust has a distinguished board of Trustees who decide on the overall direction of the Trust and the scholarships programme.  Two Trustees are appointed by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and five are appointed by the University of Cambridge.

The management of the Trust is carried out by a team of Officers and support staff.  The Provost (CEO) has overall responsibility for the scholarship programme and works with the other Officers and staff to ensure the effective running of the Trust’s activities.  The current Officers and staff are:
